Attorney Cynthia Hartman

Attorney Cynthia Hartman graduated from Bradley University in 1987 and Suffolk University Law School in 1991. She joined the firm in 1994 and is now senior litigator. Empathetic to clients in the office, with a very down to earth personality, she wants clients to know that "I have a very different demeanor in court where I provide vigorous and aggressive representation on behalf of the client.” She clearly explains to clients the advantages and disadvantages of going to court based upon the strength of the case, and the cost vs. the possible financial rewards.

"I listen to the story, apply the facts, interpret what it means in the law, and provide the client with their options and my honest assessment of their situation," she says. "I fully explain the litigation process and the people involved including the judge, the Clerk, and the opposing attorney." She makes sure clients fully understand what is involved. "But," she says, "If you don't file a case, you don't win a case."

As a litigator, Cynde handles a wide variety of practice areas. She has successfully litigated client cases in Civil Litigation, Probate, Divorce, Personal Injury, Business Litigation, Real Estate Litigation, Disputes, Condominium Litigation and Collections. Although many cases are settled out of court, what she enjoys most about her work is "fighting for my clients in court."

Cynde is a High Soprano in the Back Bay New World Chorale. With a love of the theatre, she is a member of the Newton Country Players, and has co-directed for community theatre productions. She enjoys travel, especially to England, Ireland and Scotland where she explores Medieval Castles and the countryside.
